All JCCC staff and faculty have an Employee Assistance Program available to them at no cost. Please see the link below for details and current information. Applicability: This Policy applies to all JCCC students, employees and visitors with respect to use of Tobacco and Smoke Products.
Definitions: “Tobacco and Smoke Products” include, but are not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff, electronic or “E” cigarettes, nicotine or chemical vaporizing devices and other forms of chewing or smoking devices as defined by state and federal law.
I. Tobacco and Smoke Free:
The College supports a tobacco- and smoke-free learning and working environment. Use of Tobacco and Smoke Products is prohibited in any College building or property except in the outdoor designated areas.
Although not encouraged, use of Tobacco and Smoke Products is permitted in the individual’s automobile. However, cigarette butts, smokeless tobacco, nicotine cartridges and/or any other types of Tobacco and Smoke Product waste must be disposed of inside the vehicle.
Any violation of this Policy can be fined by the JCCC Police Department as set forth in the Tobacco and Smoke Free Campus Operating Procedure 428.01.
