A brief description of the event(s):
The King's University College offers an Interdisciplinary Studies conference two times per year - once in the fall and once in the spring. Topics of the IS conference vary but all focus upon issues of social or environmental sustainability. For instance, IS conferences in the past few semesters have featured the Alberta Oil Sands, homelessness and aboriginal injustices. All students must attend the conferences and all students must write a paper for credit.
