Local and provincial campuses compete during earth day's' One Hour No Power' campus challenge on an annual basis. This friendly challenge is a great way to increase participation rates among participating institutions.

A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :
The Kings University College collaborates with other local institutions via information sharing. Information sharing has been accomplished in the past through meetings at the director level occurring on an annual or ad-hoc basis. A recent outcome of information sharing was when a cohort institution visited Kings campus in 2011 to review our recent installation of high energy efficient gymnasium lighting.
The University was a part of a sustainability symposium in Buffalo, New york in 2011 put on by 'The Center For Environmental Leadership' where information sharing with regard to sustainability was one of the main themes.
