A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
A campus-wide (students, faculty, and staff) survey on transportation practices was issued by the Sustainability Office in January of 2018, asking respondents to reflect on what they did during the 2016-17 academic year. The overall response rate to the survey was 28% and the survey received a 51% response rate from faculty and staff.
