A brief description of the facilities for bicycle commuters:
At the E. & L. Andrew Fitness Center on campus, we have covered and secure bike parking with a security camera. Inside, there are lockers and shower facilities available to all student, faculty, and staff bicycle commuters.

Bicycle racks are provided at nearly all campus buildings. Three long-term storage sites exist on campus for students to utilize during breaks or winter.

Yes

Members of the Knox community are encouraged to follow the Illinois bike safety rules.

A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
Knox College has two parallel bike share programs. The long-term bike share has roughly 75 bikes in its fleet and lasts for an entire academic term, with the ability to renew. All bikes are donated or acquired over the years and fixed for students to use on loan. The short-term program has 4 bicycles which are checked out for up to two days. Both programs are free and have significantly increased bike ridership at Knox.

Knox supports an online forum for anyone to post a request for a ride or availability in their vehicle. There is also an active Facebook page for students to find carpooling options.

The College hosts two UHaul Car Share vehicles, which are available to all community members to borrow for an hourly fee.
