LMU Observer Status of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
Loyola Marymount University has been admitted as an observer to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, providing opportunities for students and faculty members to participate in discussions about global warming, greenhouse gases, and other environmental issues. LMU has institutionalized the UN SDG as a way to spearhead climate change and become a global leader in sustainable innovation. The Institute for business and sustainability empowers students through the SDG to think critically about the challenges 21st-century corporations face and advances research to influence private and public policy.

LMU's Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainability (IBES) also signed onto the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).
