A brief description of the enterprise:
Luther Gardens is certainly a sustainable enterprise. Although the workers are all students, since the gardens are managed by the Sustainability department, the gardens aren't completely student run. This was the Sustainability Department's first year managing the gardens and in that time, revenues more than doubled compared to the previous year, but expenses are still higher than revenues. The goal is to have the gardens be a self-sustaining program in the coming years, which will involve careful planning as to which crops to produce, taking into consideration labor costs, seed costs, market price for each item, etc.
