A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
Building automation software, Automated Logic, monitors and regulates HVAC systems, including CO sensors, CO2 sensors, and humidity sensors. Automated Logic is designed to control indoor air quality as well as trigger staff response when the system detects air quality indicators beyond pre-set allowable ranges. The system is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Luther uses a work order system called "FixIt" to track complaints and fix-it requests for any building on campus. All requests made through this web site are addressed by proper facility personnel. The requestor is notified when action has been taken.
Staff are always on the look out for any mold growth and Luther contracts with a company to remove any identified as quickly as possible.
