A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
New faculty receive a packet about sustainability at Luther, including ways to get involved. Also, this past August, a group of faculty at Luther College hosted a day of fun and sustainable activities for the new faculty and their families. The activities allowed the new faculty to get familiar with the Luther campus and Decorah area while meeting co-workers. The activities included a brief walk in the Luther prairie, a Sustainability treasure hunt on campus, a canoe trip down the Upper Iowa River past the campus and city of Decorah, and a picnic supper at Decorah's Phelps Park.
