A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
We combined the transportation survey with our sustainability culture survey. The questions included queries about both traveling both to and from campus and provides space for students to provide their top two transport modes. The survey was administered to students in the spring of 2023 and asked about current practices.
The survey was distributed in the daily newsletter and directly to all students through the student list-serv.
