The number of employees resident on-site are sourced from MIT's Division of Student Life. The employee count includes heads of house, associate heads of house, area directors, and excludes Graduate Resident Tutors since they are counted in the student tally. The number of other individuals resident on site is estimated based on the number of campus family housing units.
