Dr. Todd Allen serves as the VP of Diversity Affairs and has been in this role since 2017. As a member of the President's Cabinet, the VPDA reports directly to the President and provides oversight for the management, implementation, and assessment of the University's diversity strategic plan.

There are a series of programs among which are the Inclusive Excellence Ambassadors (a group of faculty and staff equipped to facilitate various DEI topics), the Inclusive Excellence in Teaching Academy (a faculty cohort program that equips educators to better understand the role fo inclusive excellence in teaching, service and scholarship) and the development of a canvas based platform called ListenUp@Messiah that includes a variety of resources that teams/departments can use to engage various topics on DEI.
