Yes

A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
As a school focused on healthcare and health professionals, MGH IHP offers students the opportunity to gain an interdisciplinary perspective in their studies by participating in a nurse led mobile-health service program. This program helps students provide mobile health services to mitigate the impact of climate change, environmental health inequities, and the consequences of COVID-19 within marginalized populations in communities surrounding Boston. The health consequences of inequities regarding climate change and environmental health have emerged as a major public health concern and a priority for experiential learning opportunities.

The goal of the program is to bring awareness to the effects of climate change while increasing the nursing workforce in historically marginalized communities.

This emersion experience helps address multiple sustainable development goals and targets listed below.

Goal 3 which ensures health lives and promotes well-being for all at all ages
- 3.4 By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being.
- 3.C Substantially increase health financing and the recruitment, development, training and retention of the health workforce in developing countries, especially in least developed countries and small island developing States.
- 3.D Strengthen the capacity of all countries, in particular developing countries, for early warning, risk reduction and management of national and global health risks.

Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
- 13.3 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning
