LEED Silver is identified as one of the certification minimum standards for new construction projects and major renovations per Miami's 2016 Sustainability Commitments and Goals (SCAG). Below is a complete list of our LEED certified (or pending) buildings as of FY2018. As of FY2018, Miami University has a total of 29 LEED-certified buildings: 27 Silver and/or Silver (pending) and 2 Gold. Miami University has three additional strategic plans that include green building design and construction guidelines and policies. Miami's goal is to achieve LEED Silver (Version 4), 2 Green Globes, or Living Building Challenge 3.0 for all new construction and major renovation projects. Even though full certification was not sought for uncertified projects, the planning and design team followed green standards (example ENERGY STAR).

Each of the buildings undergoes third-party verification. The project team is responsible to ensure compliance. The project team is also responsible for ensuring compliance with as much green building standards as possible for uncertified projects.
