A brief description of the institution’s green athletics program:
-The Green Panther Challenge hosts Zero Sort Gamedays each year where student athletes teach fans how to sort their waste properly, they also have created Bus Kits to facilitate proper recycling and composting on away trips. Sustainability Liaisons are responsible for maintaining participation in the program.
-Student athletes perform regular community service as a team, including trail maintenance with a local land trust.
-Our athletic fields are fertilized with compost produced on campus.
-We use low-input grass varieties on athletic fields, as well as artificial turf.
