Title and a brief description of the institution’s free, online sustainability course:
Title: sustainable and optimal rainwater management practices
Description: During this course, theory and practice will be combined to give you an overview of the process of Rainwater Harvesting. The need and context will be defined as well.
Then, some techniques related to rainwater harvesting (RWH) and optimal water management practices will be introduced to finally consolidate knowledge of students by experimenting with RWH techniques in Morocco and other African countries through examples and case studies.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
• Identify the context and impact of climate change,
• Recognize the pillars of sustainable and optimal rainwater management,
• Define RWH,
• Define the concept of an optimal RWH technique,
• Identify innovative and traditional techniques for collecting and managing water in rural and urban areas in Morocco,
• Analyze and classify these techniques according to different criteria,
• Comment on RWH technique choices.
