The European Foundation for Management Development is a network of business schools and corporations dedicated to enhance excellence in management education and development globally.

With nearly 1000 member organizations from academia, business, public service and consultancy in 92 countries, EFMD provides a unique forum for information, accreditation, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development

Yes

The name of the regional, state/provincial or local sustainability network(s):
AGUYEN : It’s a network launched By the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), as part of its global strategy of environmental education and sustainable development. Mohammed VI Polytechnic University has been approached by the foundation to join the network in 2021 and be part of Moroccan and African Universities working to Implement the 2030 Agenda.

The main mission of AGUYEN is to act as a leader in sustainability for higher education and youth networks on the African continent and to promote the integration of elements of sustainability in higher education institutions, on campus and in the classroom, while seeking to enhance the sustainability mindsets and skills of future generations

Participation at Dubai Expo :

On Friday March 18th 2022, UM6P was present in Dubai Expo to talk about a development topic: agriculture. Under the title “Economic challenges of feeding the planet,” Friday’s first talk assembled agriculture and nutrition specialists from UM6P, APNI & AgBS who tackled critical issues of resource optimization and food security. The day’s last panel centered on UM6P’s raison d’être as an education & research institution. “Education: Which innovative model for African Universities? The case of Morocco” was a thought-provoking panel galvanizing the perspectives of UM6P’s, EPFL’s and Al Akhawayn’s officials on the future of higher education in our continent.

Mohammed VI Polytechnic University participated at Mohammed VI Prize for Climate and Sustainable Development, which is an award for pioneering initiatives in the field of combating climate change and contributing to combating global warming and promoting sustainable development.

Prof. Hassan Radoine, director of the School of Architecture, Planning & Design at UM6P co-chaired the scientific committee of the Smart City Casablanca Symposium organized on June 9 and 10, 2021 under the theme “Smart City at the service of resilience and territorial regeneration”. The event was organized by Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and Hassan II University of Casablanca join in partnership with Casa Event and Animation,

A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:
The UM6P is involved in a partnership with Solutions conseil Stratégique Inc, aiming at assisting the UM6P in the reporting process towards STARS Accreditation through a contract with its president: the expert ERIC Bauce, Ex Vice-Dean for research and higher education of Laval university, and thanks to whom Laval university had achieved a gold rating in STARS Accreditation.

Prof. Eric Bauce is assisting the sustainable development department of UM6P during the preparation and audit phase of STARS accreditation submission with providing guidelines and technical tools to structure the reporting process. He is working and assisting the team during a
20 days face-to-face and 30 days remotely at a frequency defined by mutual agreement as required.

Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is joining forces with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sandbox Innovation Fund to launch the “UM6P Explorer” program in 2020, a tailor-made support for start-ups from Moroccan universities.
