Chemically intensive products and services
A brief description of the published sustainability criteria for chemically intensive products and services:
*Use ecological products certified with an ecolabel required by the international STARS sustainability monitoring, evaluation and rating system (Blue Angel, Cradle to Cradle, ECOLOGO, European Ecolabel, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), etc.)
*Buy biodegradable cleaning products and paper (Diversey, THOMIL, Enzypin, etc.).
the cleaning paper used at the university is of the TORK brand certified European ecolabel
Consumable office products
A brief description of the published sustainability criteria for consumable office products:
*Avoid purchasing low quality products that need to be replaced frequently.
*Give preference to products (paper, cardboard, packaging, labels, etc.) whose fibers are FSC certified.
*Substitute the papers of the Claire Fontaine brand by another certified FSC / ISO type 1 / 90-100% of agricultural or post-consumer recycled residues by Fabriano and Navigator.
88% of the stock of paper purchased in the university is FSC MIXTE certified by the NAVIGATOR and PIONNER brands.
Furniture and furnishings
A brief description of the published sustainability criteria for furniture and furnishings:
• Products made of post-consumer recyclable or renewable content,
• Long-lasting products,
• Low VOC water-based paint,
• Mercury-free lamps since Morocco has signed “The Minamata convention” that prohibits the import and export of products containing mercury,
• Preference of the certified buildings by third party,
• Recyclable packaging.
It is also recommended to regroup all purchases and order to limit the supplier transportation.
Information Technology (IT) and equipment
A brief description of the published sustainability criteria for Information Technology (IT) and equipment:
*Favor the following brands: KRAMER, LENOVO, APPLE, DELL, CISCO, TOSHIBA, KONICA MINOLTA, EPSON, DURACELL, PANASONIC.
*Avoid brands that are not ecolabel certified, for example: CHRISTIE, F5, CORNING.

Food service providers

*Buy certified fair trade coffee, tea, sugar and chocolate
*Replace exotic foods with local foods to reduce the university's carbon footprint.

*Use bicycles or carpooling more frequently to get to campus.
*Promote electric and hybrid vehicles for the transport of people / goods(install charging stations, Replace cars rented by the university with hybrid cars, sign an agreement with a brand that offers hybrid / electric cars)
* opt for walking, cycling or carpooling to decrease greenhouse gas emissions,
*Use “picalty”, the UM6P bike sharing program at the campus,
The university has accommodation for students to encourage them to live close to campus.
