As part of the promotion of eco-mobility aiming at reducing the carbon footprint of our community, Picalty By UM6P is a project that provides rental bicycles to the entire UM6P community in order to facilitate the movement of staff and students inside and outside the campus. Users have access to the Picalty by UM6P service through the web application allowing the management and the planning of users reservations

Students and staff of UM6P have created a Facebook group called "Carpooling UM6P" to travel together and share seats in their cars.

UM6P supports active transportation and more sustainable commuting options for its students and staff by providing adapted infrastructures.
Several standard electrical plugs with dedicated parking spots are available to recharge electric vehicles in UM6P's parkings (golfettes, electric scooters...)
Encouraging more sustainable modes of transportation helps UM6P decrease its local air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. The Green Energy Park is equipped with several charging stations with different power levels to offer charging of electric vehicles. Part of the electrical energy that powers the terminals is provided by the photovoltaic installation on site.

Morover, The first Moroccan charging station was developed by the Green Energy park, a research platform set up jointly by UM6P and IRESEN - Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies with the support of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and the Green and Digital Economy and the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Environment.
This innovative charging station for iSmart electric vehicles is 100% Made in Morocco, including design, development and manufacturing..

UM6P's main campus of Ben Guerir is located in the Green City, which is already certified under LEED Neighborhood Development (LEED ND). Thus, it was engineered to inspire and help create better, more sustainable, and well connected infrastructures. For instance, campus's housing and dorms built for staff and students are as close as they can be to work areas/classes. in that sense, UM6P's community commute to and from campus using more sustainable commuting options such as walking, cycling, carpooling and also campus shuttles.

The university encourages the students and staff to use more sustainable modes of transportation by offering collective shuttles, catering, library and gym services at the campus.
