The Mohamed VI Polytechnic University has established an HSE Department in 2019 to coordinate, implement and improve the quality of services and infrastructure management. This department ensures a quality living environment for the entire university community (students, staff and external service providers) through a proactive assessment of professional risks and effective intervention in the event of an emergency (firefighting, evacuation). As part of the activities of UM6P, the main actions are as follows:
* Risk mitigation, incidents and accidents prevention;
* Establish and sustain a safe environment for students, academics,
administrative staff and visitors;
* Comply with the provisions of health and safety laws and regulations;
* Establish and develop an EHS mindset among students, academics, administrative staff and contractors;
* Establish and deploy a waste management process in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Department;
* Prepare for emergency situations;

A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
The first contact of an incident, work-related injury and ill health is the health center. Then the HSE department receives data to perform cause and risk analysis. There’s a file that records monthly data is shared with the sustainable development department for tracking.
