GoGallatin Commuter Project
A brief description of the campaign:
The GoGallatin Commuter Project is a partnership between the Western Transportation Institute, situated within the College of Engineering, the MSU Office of Sustainability, local businesses, and municipalities. The project facilitates sustainable transportation options throughout the Gallatin Valley by helping users find the best routes for walking or biking, using the Streamline and Skyline bus routes and schedules, and connecting carpoolers with each other to save money, reduce their carbon footprint, and get moving during their commute. The GoGallatin Commuter Project is a free service that is open to everyone in the Gallatin Valley.
A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:
The GoGallatin Commuter Project began in the fall of 2017. Just this year, the Montana State University GoGallatin Network had 360 participating members and it facilitated over 4,200 sustainable trips, equaling 13,950 miles traveled, $5,200 saved, 0.3 million calories burned, and 8,832.2 lbs of CO2e mitigated.
