Part 1. Greenhouse gas emissions inventory
Yes
A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
Montana State University engages the Sustainability Indicator Management & Analysis Platform to complete our Greenhouse Gas inventory. MSU is implementing Energy CAP to track all point of use energy in a comprehensive fashion and to maintain current greenhouse gas emission data.
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
Yes
A brief description of the GHG inventory verification process:
We utilize resources from SIMAP to verify complete our inventory. In addition, Montana State University staff engineers independently cross-reference GHG inventories with previous reports and Energy-Cap records.
Documentation to support the GHG inventory verification process:
---

A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:
MSU does regular predictive emissions and testing at the heat plant for the three natural gas steam boilers. However, at the time of submission of this STARS Report these data points were unavailable. When these data points become available, they will be shared on the MSU Office of Sustainability website.
