A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
There are two programs that try to promote sustainability to incoming first year and transfer students. One program is the Muhlenberg Green Team, which was discussed previously.

The second program involves tabling at the resource fair. Muhlenberg College’s main sustainability officer, tables at a resource fair during orientation weekend, where the various support departments table in one room, and students can come and get further information.

The Office of Campus Sustainability provides first year and transfer students with free reusable coffee tumblers and are made aware of the $0.25 discount for its use at campus food court & coffee shop. Additionally, all students receive a sticker to promote Muhlenberg’s “Just Tap it” campaign.
