A brief description of the institution’s formal community partnership to advance sustainability:
Since 2018, the institution has cooperated with the Guzhuang Development Association to establish a "plastic-reduction promotion center" in the community. We promote plastic reduction knowledge for sustainable development, the community can realize the problem of wastes and know how to behave as responsible consumers. Besides, the center also organizes activities for the community to participate in, including plastic-free hand-made DIY workshops, beach and street cleaning activities, promotion of naked sales, development of plastic-reduction board games, and tree planting activities. Community residents do recognize the importance of sustainable development and are willing to implement and to promote plastic reduction to other communities.
