A brief description of the diversity and equity committee, office and/or officer, including purview and activities:
The NTNU has long been concerned with ethnic issues and rights, and established the "Indigenous Research and Development Center" and the "Global Hakka Culture Development Center" to promote and to research the development of related cultural and educational industries. At the same time, the center also cooperates with relevant units in the school to strengthen the creation of a multicultural environment.
In order to promote equity in the workplace of faculty and staff, the school has established a teacher appeal and appraisal committee and a staff appeal appraisal committee to protect the fair treatment and environment of faculty and staff.
In addition, in order to promote the concept of gender equity on campus, and to prevent and handle cases of gender discrimination, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and sexual bullying; the university has a gender equality education committee to protect the rights of faculty, staff and students. Relevant administrative affairs are undertaken by the secretary's office, with the chief secretary serving as the executive secretary, and a dedicated person is appointed to be responsible for the relevant business.
The tasks of the Sexual Peace Conference are as follows:
1. Integrate the relevant resources of various units of the school, formulate a gender equality education implementation plan, implement and review its implementation results.
2. Planning or handling activities related to gender equality education for students, faculty, staff and parents.
3. Research, develop and promote the curriculum, teaching and evaluation of gender equality education. 4. Develop regulations on the implementation of gender equality education and the prevention of sexual assault and harassment on campus, establish mechanisms, and coordinate and integrate relevant resources.
5. Investigate and handle cases related to the Gender Equality Education Act.
6. Planning and establishing a safe campus space with gender equality.
7. Promote family education and social education on gender equality in the relevant communities of our school.
8. Other matters concerning gender equality education in the school or related communities of the school.
