With the ideals and experience of managing independent, cross-domain, and extended courses and activities over the years, the General Education Center will launch a forward-looking and creative course-the "Travel and Study" series of courses in 2020.
The curriculum objectives of "Travel and Study" are 1. Use the field to enhance students' ability to observe the details of life; 2. Guide and interpret field discoveries by interdisciplinary teachers; 3. Encourage students to translate professional content, share and spread knowledge; 4. Encourage students to creatively transform curriculum experience to create and add value to knowledge. This course can enhance students' abilities in observation, integration, communication, and creativity.
The General Education Center will handle two courses in the summer of 2020. They are "Nature and humanity harmony/a brief visit to Hsinchu's natural and human histories, Translating Taiwanese local culture into hybrid creation: Exploring the synergy between craft and design through the use of emerging technologies, and received quite enthusiastic responses and praise from students.
