NTHU has implemented a regular assessment system to perform an assessment and accreditation program every five years. The assessment items include academic performance in research and teaching, social responsibility such as the admission and financial support for disadvantaged students, the recruiting faculty and staff considering gender equality and diversity, and the alumni contributions to societies.
Regularly, the Institutional Research Center keeps track and analyzes the academic performance of disadvantaged students and the assistance needed by surveys for the university to assess the policies of diversity, equality, and inclusion.

From the latest survey results, the academic performance of indigenous students is inferior and students from low-income families work more than 10 hours a week on and off campus on average. In addition, disadvantaged students believe that scholarship assistance and accommodation priority are the best way to help students continue their studies at National Tsing Hua University.

A brief description of how the assessment results are shared with the campus community:
The college assessment reports and the external reviewers' comments and suggestions have been publicized for corresponding colleges for the deans and senior faculty and department heads to reflect and pursue some policy or practice changes. The university calls for a general meeting to invite external reviewers at the university level to confirm the proposed policy and practice changes by colleges. The university administration meetings bring Institutional Research Center's survey results to update the status quo for reviewing the policies and making some plans for changes.
