A brief description of the postconsumer food waste composting program:
NC State has pre and post consumer food composting in the three main campus Dining Halls. All pre and post consumer organic materials are collected and transported to a local composting facility. Materials are processed and eventually returned to campus in the form of compost to be used on campus grounds.
