A brief description of the facilities:
A number of ancillary facilities support biking and walking at NC State, including nearly 500 bicycle rack installations throughout campus. The University’s bike parking program installs approximately 15 bike racks per year at locations throughout campus. Many bike parking areas are covered to allow for better shelter in poor weather conditions, and NC State coordinated its first bike locker installation and rental program with Triangle Transit (the regional transit authority). Clothing lockers are available for rent in some newer buildings and showers are available in a few campus buildings for employee and/or student use.
