A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
A tote bag made of recycled materials is handed out at the beginning of the day-long session. Inside the tote are brochures regarding WolfTrails (alternative transportation program for employees), NC State Recycles (campus-wide recycling efforts), energy and water reduction tips and a sustainability informational postcard. In addition, each tote contains sustainable items from various campus departments.
Facilities new employees receive an additional exposure to sustainability through an overview of the Waste Reduction and Recycling office, Sustainability Office and Energy Management office programs.
