A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
Construction, renovation and even departmental clean-outs can sometimes generate a lot of waste and recycling. University personnel can use the Dearstyne Convenience Site at no cost if they are able to transport the material. For larger amounts of bulk material, Waste Reduction and Recycling also offers both rolloff and dumpster rentals as well as bulk material pick-up service.
