There are both a Hazard Communication Plan and a Chemical Hygiene Plan in place that ensure our policies and actions at NSCC comply with Federal, State, and Local Hazardous material handling regulations.
A brief description of how the institution safely disposes of hazardous, universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
As a state institution, we are obligated to remove hazardous waste in compliance with OSHA and state standards, which are applied differently depending on which type of hazardous or non-regulated chemical waste is in question.

We keep a complete inventory of chemicals used throughout the various labs on campus, and any unused items that are not waste products will be reused throughout future labs.

Yes
If yes to either of the above, provide:
All college/state owned computers are recycled by the IT Department through InterConnection, a 501(c)3 local non-profit that refurbishes and ships computers and laptops worldwide. Additionally, small donation boxes are located on campus that also go to InterConnection for recycling and reuse. Additionally, electronic recycling is promoted during Earth week, and throughout winter and Fall quarter. The college recycles non-working computer monitors and TV’s via Total Reclaim. The college also recycles usable computers, printers, equipment and furniture through State of Washington Surplus.
