1.) Demonstrate the depth and breadth of knowledge required to meaningfully participate in local and global societies through critical evaluation, problem-solving, and decision-making that incorporates ethical reflection.
-Analyze and articulate disciplinary and interdisciplinary theories, concepts, principles, skills, and practices.
-Synthesize and apply knowledge from multiple sources and other experiences in a range of contexts to identify and creatively solve problems that inform decision-making.
-Manage complex problems by reflecting on what is known and not known, identifying solutions/options, making decisions, choosing courses of action, and adapting to changing circumstances.

A brief description of how the figure above was determined:
From the total 10,754 degrees awarded from NAU in the calendar year of 2022; 4,708 degrees were awarded from sustainable-focused programs or programs that adopted one or more sustainability-focused learning outcomes. A thorough review of learning outcomes was conducted by the Office of Sustainability to provide the programs listed below. The associated learning outcomes are listed in the Excel document shared below.
