A brief description of the incentive program(s):
The Sustainable Futures Faculty Fellowship (SF3) Program aims to deepen student inquiry and learning into sustainability by supporting faculty to pursue, document, and share their research findings on innovative pedagogical approaches towards sustainability at the undergraduate level.

Expectations of the Fellow:

- Develop and implement sustainability pedagogy for an undergraduate course.
- Conduct course-based research to capture the impacts of their sustainability pedagogy on student learning.
- Together with the SF3 Team, draft and submit a Research Ethics Board submission.
- Participate in a mutually agreed upon schedule of research meetings with the SF3 Team for the duration of the research.
- Together with the SF3 Team, participate in knowledge mobilization activities to share the results of the course-based research during the 2023-24 Academic Year.
- Design and lead one professional learning activity for OCAD U community, based on the research project, to build awareness of promising practices for sustainability pedagogy in art and design education.
- Make one presentation within their Faculty to share the research findings, likely upon conclusion of the project.
- Participate in and provide updates to the Sustainability Community of Practice where appropriate.
- Liaise with faculty through presentations and curriculum committees, Faculty Council and other committees as relevant.

A brief description of the incentives that academic staff who participate in the program(s) receive:
Support that the Fellows Receive

- The Fellow will receive one course release with a course weight of 0.5 credit.
- Up to $75 in gift cards to support student evaluation activities to assess impact of projects.
- Research, program, and pedagogical collaboration with the SF3 Team consisting of ODESI, FCDC, and the Sustainability Committee academic staff and faculty:
Educational Development: Research expertise support, research proposal development, course design/adaptation, support writing the Research Ethics Board submission.
Research Assistance: Research administrative support such as data collection, transcription, thematic analysis, managing research and evaluation data.
Program Coordination: Event and outreach administration (room booking, AV, invites and communications, event recording and captioning), website updates to provide OCAD U community access to final research findings, take meeting minutes at research meetings.
Community Engagement: Possible participation in-class or to deliver guest lectures, monthly meetings with the Fellow(s), presence at all research talks.
