A brief description of the institution’s formal community partnership to advance sustainability:
Supporting the Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre and the Nail Technicians Network to learn about and reduce the negative health impacts of working in nail salons, and advocate for healthy and just work environments for nail technicians. Healthier human environments is related to healthier environments more broadly with the use of safe chemicals and processes. OCAD U provides financial and staff support to enable projects such as a photovoice exhibition and creative writing/spoken word initiative to broaden the reach of nail technicians' stories. https://www.ocadu.ca/event/strength-resilience-exhibit-launch-photovoice-project-toronto-nail-technicians
