A brief description of the institution’s professional development opportunities on sustainability in the curriculum:
OCAD U is a designated AASHE Center for Sustainability across the Curriculum.

The Sustainable Futures: Curriculum Workshop Series includes events that invite broad participation by academic staff from multiple institutions beyond OCAD U.

The Series builds on OCAD U’s ongoing collaborations to foster generative conversations and sharing amongst faculty and staff on integrating sustainability into teaching and learning. The series is intended to enhance our curriculum approaches to Sustainable Futures and to develop further resources with, by, and for faculty. This series is supported by the OCAD U Sustainability Committee. Fall 2022 topics included:

- Applying the Indigenous Design Charters to your Teaching and Practice with Brian Martin and Howard Munroe
- Indigenous Learning Outcomes and Graphic Design with Sadie Red Wing
- Design for Good: Teaching and Applying Sustainability in Packaging Design 2
- Responsibility as a Design Process: Circular Economy and Other Alumni Stories
