The Division of Diversity and Inclusion infuses values of humanity, civility, and global citizenship into supportive and affirming learning environments that empower all members of our OHIO community to grow and thrive. There are 5 offices/centers under the Division; Office of the VP for D&I, LGBT Center, Multicultural Center, Office of Multicultural Student Access and Retention (OMSAR), and the Women’s Center. Each office/center focuses specifically on groups and individuals who have historically been excluded, underrepresented or marginalized within higher education settings.

ECRC ensures that the University maintains an employment and educational environment that is free from discrimination and harassment; monitors the educational environment and workplace to stop, remediate, and prevent discrimination on the basis of protected status; make policy recommendations, offer training, and provide avenues for the resolution of grievances which are based on protected status. This includes discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, age, ethnicity, national origin, national ancestry, sex, pregnancy, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, military service or veteran status, mental or physical disability, or genetic information.

• To continue Ohio University’s work toward becoming a national leader for diversity and inclusion, Ohio University’s Diversity Leadership Institute, held each Spring, brings together faculty, staff, students, and community members to explore our shared pathways to inclusive excellence.
Inclusive Pedagogy Academy
• The mission of the Inclusive Pedagogy Academy is to empower faculty to maximize student learning and achievement by working with faculty to enact inclusive teaching approaches across all disciplines.
