A brief description of the program:
Okanagan College purchases offsets through the Pacific Carbon Trust. Offsets represent emission reductions or removals through projects such as renewable energy generation, energy efficiency initiatives or tree planting.
The college purchases bullfrog power which is a new green electrical choice. The electricity generated is by wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada.
