The sustainability website is apart of the UOIT website. It includes our sustainability policies, initiatives and energy management plan. It also includes information about our sustainability committee and Blue Team, initiatives on campus and in the community.

The Blue Team, an initiative run by the Office of Sustainability has a Facebook, twitter and instagram page. The Blue Team uses their social media platform to spread awareness about local and campus sustainability events. Social media is also used to spread awareness about green tips, and environmental facts.

UOIT promotes commuters using alternative modes of transportation by providing a bus pass to all full time students. Bus schedules can be found at the front security desk in the Gorden Wiley Building. Also promoting Blancride, a carpooling app to connect students.
Students can contact Durham Region Transit to find out how to use public transit, or which bus to take. UOIT also encourages carpooling by having designated parking spots for carpoolers. UOIT has an app for students, Blancride, to connect and share rides. UOIT encourages biking by supporting student groups such as CyclOn, and making the campus biker friendly. UOIT also has a map listing all the bike racks on campus.

Stories are regularly featured in "The Chronicle" student newspaper. Articles are developed by media students whenever there are notable events or initiatives.

Around campus in high traffic areas, around water fountains, printers and garbage bins, signage has been posted. These posters highlight different sustainable issues. Posters encourage taking action such as default to double siding, using a reusable water bottle, or packing a lunch.
