Collaboration between various departments and faculties on campus as well as feedback from provincial sustainability professionals group. Survey examples from STARs were also referred to.

The survey was emailed to the entire undergraduate student population and it was open for a span of 2 weeks.

- 90.6% of respondents knew that the majority of endangered species are at risk due to habitat loss and introduction of non-native species
- 77.6% of respondents understood the term carbon footprint
