Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Indoor Air Quality Study

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
The Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability conducted an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in early 2023 in Charles Hall (downtown campus). This study aimed to research next generation IAQ sensors, air filtration technologies and air cleaning/scrubbing technology to enhance the indoor air quality for wellbeing and health of building patrons.

The study used Charles Hall as a control and benchmarked against ASHRAE 62.1-2022 & ASHRAE 55-2020 Standard(s) as well as the WELL Building Standard v2. The study revealed that Charles Hall exceeded ASHRAE standards and averaged a score of 83.9 on the WELL Live IAQ Score which is the upper level of good air quality. This outcome supports a healthy work and study place for building patrons.
