Sustainable Behrend tables at all New Student Orientation events throughout the summer (n=10) and prior to the Spring semester (n=1). During these events both the director of sustainability and student sustainability ambassadors speak with new and transfer students about what sustainability is, courses focused on the topic of sustainability, opportunities for students to get involved, and various sustainability efforts on the Behrend campus. Additionally, prior to the first-day of classes, each semester begins with a "Start with Service" which include clean-up events (at Wintergreen Gorge and other community sites) and other sustainability activities (building bird houses, bee hives, etc.).
