1. Essentials in Strategic Leadership: Goal 16 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals is dedicated to promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, providing access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.
This is related to ‘Essentials in Strategic Leadership’ Seeing that Effective leadership is essential for organizations to operate sustainably by balancing the needs of the environment, society, and the economy. The Course Information regarding Sustainable leadership involves creating a work environment that encourages employee growth, involvement, commitment, and retention, which aligns with the sustainable development goals.

2. Logistics and Operations Management: One of the goals of sustainable development is to ensure responsible production and consumption patterns. By familiarizing students with the SCOR model, the program aims to create net value and avoid risks in the supply chain, which is critical to achieving this goal. The program also emphasizes the alignment of supply chain practices and priorities with overall goals and objectives. This is important because sustainable development requires a holistic approach that considers the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of development. By understanding the concepts that interrelate manufacturers, markets, suppliers, warehouses, retailers, and customers, students can develop a value proposition that aligns with corporate mission and values and contributes to sustainable development. Additionally, the program covers topics such as inventory management, transportation, and vendor management, which are critical to achieving sustainable supply chain operations. For example, efficient inventory management can reduce waste and prevent overproduction, while effective transportation strategies can minimize emissions and reduce the environmental impact of supply chain activities. Overall, the Logistics and Operations Management Certificate program can help students develop the skills and knowledge needed to promote sustainability in supply chain management.
