The Service aux étudiants de Polytechnique (Service for Polytechnique's students) has one advisor dedicated to international students and one advisor for students with disabilities. They are available for consultations and offer support and advice. Students with disabilities are followed through their entire study program. Every fall, a cultural workshop is made available for international students to help them with their integration in Quebec (it includes advices for their student life on campus, life in Montreal and in Canada in general).

Every undergraduate program at Polytechnique includes a mandatory communication course that, among its objectives, aims to develop cultural competence. Through this course, students learn how to manage differences amongst people, how to organize teamwork and to improve team working abilities.
