Following the deployment of the initial test in various first year courses, the Sustainability Office also wanted to assess the sustainability culture, in general, of the entire community. Since every year there is a 12-day Sustainability Event in March, it was decided that in 2019, a quiz would be sent to all. The quiz was available for two weeks, and reminders were sent through the following weekly newsletter.

The quiz consists of 10 multiple choice questions. The questions are a mix of sustainability culture in general and sustainability on the campus. The following are a few sample questions:
- Which sector do you believe to be responsible for the most greenhouse gas emissions in Quebec?
- Name an international movement aimed at promoting the benefits of vegetarian food, in which the cafeteria of Polytechnique also participates.

- At Polytechnique, where can I get rid of my used tea bags? (list of disposal options)

In 2019, during the Sustainability event, a quiz was sent to the entire community via the various newsletters. Students and employees were invited to take this 10 question quiz and assess their level of sustainability culture.
A brief summary of results from the cultural assessment:
The quiz attracted over 150 participants in 2019 and the average grade was 7.57/10. 145 participants correctly named the three spheres of sustainable development.

Data are from year 2018-2019 since the pandemic affected the next 3 years. The quiz to the community will resume in 2022-2023.
