Part 1. Greenhouse gas emissions inventory

Has the institution conducted a GHG emissions inventory within the previous three years that includes all Scope 1 and 2 emissions? :
Yes

A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
Scope 1 emissions which include the "combustion of fuels to produce electricity, steam, heat, or power using equipment in a fixed location such as boilers, burners, heaters, furnaces, incinerators" were acquired by multiplying the on-campus energy use by a conversion factor provided by the EPA which converts therms and kilowatt-hours to MTCO2 equivalent: https://www.epa.gov/energy/greenhouse-gases-equivalencies-calculator-calculations-and-references

To determine the GHG emissions from the campus vehicle fleet, some assumptions were made. We assumed each vehicle was driven 13,000 miles per year (the average mileage a vehicle is driven in the state of Arizona). We divided this number by the average fuel mileage of a van/truck (17 mpg) to acquire the total number of gallons of gasoline/diesel consumed by the college vehicle fleet. Then, we multiplied this number by the respective conversion factor as stated by the EPA dependent on whether the vehicle is gas or diesel powered (same EPA reference link as above).

Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
No
