A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:
University policy includes the statement “The student has the right to freedom from unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, color, age, national origin or ancestry, disability, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, or status as a Vietnam-era veteran” in Article 8 of the Student Conduct section. Our University Residences department will assist individual students who have transgender or transitioning needs to find an assignment, within either graduate or undergraduate space as appropriate that both meets those needs and provides a secure environment for the student.
