A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
Every Randolph College student receives a campus tour that features information about on-campus recycling capabilities, bike share program, student-run organic garden, environmental club, student-run Rummage Room (free store) and the Buildings & Grounds repair system (designed to improve the speed of campus repairs such as window seals, leaky faucet, toilet, or showerhead, etc). Students also receive a physical or electronic copy of the annual Randolph College Campus Sustainability Guide. First year orientation also includes a short talk on sustainability efforts on campus, informational signage to reduce waste during move-in, and an optional "sustainable dorm living" class.
