A brief description of the practice:
Student Leadership Transcript
"The Student Leadership Transcript will document your service learning experience by course
and semester. It is an official transcript from the college that you can use to enhance your
resume and transfer applications and it should be noted on both. Building your resume and
transfer applications are one of the many benefits of service learning and they are an important
part of educational/career planning. Volunteer experience is just as valuable as paid job
experience and many employers look very favorably upon students who volunteer. Most college
transfer applications ask what type of service you have done and service learning should be
included on your application to enhance its acceptance.
Upon successful completion of a service learning project, students will receive a Student
Leadership Transcript. Transcripts are issued when students submit their fully completed and
signed time sheets documenting their service leaerning hours to the Service Learning Office.
