A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
The new online orientation covers social, financial, and environmental sustainability. Specifically, it contains information about: specialized international and veteran services, disability services, adult learners, personal and mental health counseling, service learning, fitness facilities, campus sustainability, public transportation, carpooling, personal safety, and the Resource Center and Food Pantry. See the attached image for the campus sustainability page of the online orientation. If the student selects "I want to know more about Sustainability" on that page, they are given a link to RVCC's waste sorting video at the end. The closing video in the "Connect" section of orientation focuses campus sustainability, showing recycling, electric car charging stations, native pollinator and gardens, and mentioning environmental and service learning awards. In addition, students are sent a link to a video about how to properly sort food scraps, recycling, and trash. The closing video in the "Stay Safe" section focuses on the Resource Center and Food Pantry.
